Today is the First Day of Spring

It is officially Spring 2013 today. It is raining here at the lake – thank you, we need it – and snowing in the east.  But the calendar says Spring. Time to think about redecorating your home to brighten each day with something colorful and pretty. Make some beautiful flower designs until yours are up and blooming in the garden. Our Wool Applique Bouquet Table Runner is perfect for your Spring home decorating. Yummy shades of Hand and Mill-Dyed 100% Wool appliqued with #8 Perle Cotton. The edges of many of the petals are raised off the background giving you more interest and texture to your pretty design.  Fun to make and lovely to display. Happy Spring – have some relaxing FUN!

Robin has flown the Coop to San Diego

Robin is playing in beautiful San Diego at the Kona Kai Resort on Shelter Island for a few days with daughter, Jennifer and grandson, Milo. The marina is just behind the pool, the food is yummy and we are enjoying the city and relaxation. Back to reality and the girls in the store on Friday!

We Went to Sew Expo and are Home Again

I failed to send any blogs for some days as we had a busy time in Puyallup, Washington at Sew Expo.  After the show a big storm was predicted so we made it all the way to Yreka, California Monday night.  We beat the storm but for many miles we battled high winds….not so fun in our “high profile” Lucy, the motor coach. On the way up to Washington we stopped at our favorite antique shops.  We also had a yummy lunch at the Antique Café in Kalama, Washington, a regular stop for us.  The girls joined us for lunch as we chatted.        Happy to be home and back to “regular” busy stuff. Our next show is International Spring Market in Portland, Oregon.  This is a wholesale show for Quilt shops to visit and see our patterns. Carol and Alan head to Ridgecrest, California this coming weekend for the Hi Desert Guild Quilt Show.  Another opportunity to see our RedWork and Embroidery Patterns and materials to get stitching! ...
