Kitchen Helpers Back in Stock

We ran out of stock on our cute little Kitchen Helpers Tea Towel patterns.  They are back! The vintage look of the colorful little gals with their balloons labeled for the kitchen are so fun.  The designs are based on a set of well used vintage tea towels found in a funky antique store in Washington. Get the pattern and make with the colors used in our set of six little Helpers or choose your own.  They will also look great in RedWork or another color to complement your kitchen.  Fun for summer stitching!

New Scissors Have Arrived

We met with Ms. Scissors at the Long Beach International Quilt Festival and bought some new styles for you.   We ordered more of our old favorite – the Fabulous Applique Scissors – too. Tina has been working on her very large hooked rug featuring Campbell the dog so we orders some super scissors with curved blades for her (far left).  Rug hookers and machine embroidery gals will love using them.  You can easily clip your wool strips and embroidery thread threads easily holding the blades flat on the surface – no mistakes! The Micro Tip Scissors are super fine to accurately snip your quilting and embroidery threads.  The tiny blade points will be great for removing stitches too! The traditional Stork Scissors are perfect for “Bird Brain” Stitchers – and there are PLENTY of those!  Enjoy some fun in your nifty stitchin’ stuff. Last but not least are our work horse scissors, our Fabulous Applique Scissors .  These are the only scissors we use...

Went to the Las Vegas Gift Show

After the Long Beach Quilt Festival we headed to Las Vegas to check out the wholesale Gift Market. Had a great time after several years of not attending.  Now with our NEW Studio-Store we had a reason – HA! We found some great display furniture to use and show off our NeedleArt goodies in the shop and maybe at quilt shows, too.  Candles are on the way to give a wonderful scent to enjoy in the Studio and in your homes.  We also found fabulous clocks we can hardly wait to hang on the wall.  Bird houses, lamps, metal ornaments and lots of other goodies are coming soon.  I’ll add photos and urge you to make a visit to Kelseyville and check them out! Across the street from the Mart is one of the most interesting buildings I have seen.  It is all twists and turns – kind of looks like it melted in the Nevada sun!  It is is brain center and is sure to put someone with a brain injury over the edge wondering about their sanity! As our show purchases ar...

Long Beach Quilt Show Was GREAT

We had a great everything at the Quilt Show.  Saw many old friends and met new friends who know us from the website and Newsletters – FUN!  We worked all weekend with Carol and Alan, our “Satellite Studio” folks who take Bird Brain Designs to shows Robin and Tina don’t go to. Every day we worked long hours at the show (until 7 o’clock!) and then ate wonderful food at the super restaurants along “The Pike”.  Almost (sort of) like a vacation after work – yummy. The Quilt Show is over and we are in Las Vegas as shoppers at the Gift Show.  Finding lots of really fun stuff to decorate and sell in the new Studio/Store in Kelseyville, California. Hope many more of you will be able to make a trip to our cute town to visit and shop at the Studio. I’ll take photos of all the new stuff as it arrives at the Studio to tempt you to make a visit!
